Recent Press & Media: Vave Health
I absolutely love my job as the Head of Marketing at Vave Health. We design handheld ultrasound devices that sync wirelessly to your phone. It’s an exciting piece of technology that is disrupting healthcare delivery and expanding access to quality care. It has been a busy year at Vave Health — here are some of my favorite news highlights from 2021 so far:
Cheddar: Vave Health Is Democratizing the Ultrasound with Wireless Device
Vave Health is revolutionizing the ultrasound as we know it. The medical device company pioneered the very first wireless, pocket-sized ultrasound, transforming the commonly-used medical device into a more accessible device. The Vave Probe has now been introduced for medical students at Touro University Nevada. Vave Health founder Amin Nikoozadeh joined Wake Up With Cheddar to discuss.

Diagnostic Imaging: Stanford and POCUS during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Diagnostic Imaging spoke with Dr. Andre Kumar, a hospitalist at Stanford University Division of Hospital Medicine. Kumar is also the co-president of the Society of Hospital Medicine Bay Area Chapter and the director of the medicine consult and procedure service. Given his particular interest in the use of point-of-care ultrasound during the pandemic era, we spoke with him about how he is using the modality, what benefits it has provided over the past year, and what the future holds for implementing the technology both with COVID-19-positive patients and individuals with other medical conditions. Here’s what he had to say.
